Hey, did somebody register my site with all the search engines or something? One day my site is a work in progress, the next, I'm getting 500 hits an hour...and it's not even done yet!

Those of you who just happened upon my site will hopefully understand when I say I'm a little strapped for spare time...Not only am I carrying 12 units from the graphic arts program (Typography 206, Graphic Design 202, my work on this web page for 304a Design for the World Wide Web)...but also there's my literature class (too much reading). Plus there's my responsibilities as Resident Advisor, honing new typographic experiments...

...Not to mention that my e-mail fell down over a month ago and still can't get up! ; - (

So what else is new...
Ahhh...the new, improved, *animated* Skyline Menu...now using my "moving taxicab" interface.

Kelvin Hall Student Activities
I have added a page for Kelvin Hall 7th Floor advisees to save them a trip to the lobby. Aren't I a nice guy. Unless you wish to go to the Skyline Menu first, click here to see what we're planning for the month of November. I took an extra minute to scan the big chart, I just pieced it back together in Photoshop. It only took 9 passes! Scanned my pants the other day that way. It only took 35 minutes to get both legs over the scanner. The pants that is, and it was easier once I took them off. (Just kidding, because that would break the scanner.)

Uprite Condensed Me...!!!
Sorry for the tacky exclamation points, but I get excited when I talk about type. I got the idea for my Noel Uprite Condensed font three weeks ago when I was watching the TV in our lobby, (which gets unbelievably bad reception except for when commercials kick in), after noticing what the reception was doing to a block of headline type onscreen. It's not that my font isn't finished yet, it's that it is purposely unfinishable...I like the idea of type that changes with use...Better yet, you can just click here to see why I'm getting all hyper.

My Job, by Noel Crane
As a sophomore Resident Advisor, it's my role to give advice and reference to fellow students who live on the 7th floor at Kelvin Hall. Which excludes other floors, and much of Canada. Mostly the freshmen seem to ask for my aid. It's more like being a shrink who talks to everyone on the floor of his apartment building. RA's are not really in it for money, though I do get a break on my tuition in this way.

And BTW, there is no possible way I can resident-advise the whole World Wide Web (as this would take away from my snorkeling time).

There are fonts all around me.
Began reading Joyce's Ulysses for my essay, but found myself trying to determine whether the text was set in Times Roman or Times New Roman. Some day, I hope to eventually "de-construct" a classic font and really make it speak in our time. Right. Not to mention that my reading assignment is actually due tomorrow.
